Stay healthy all winter with this fiery remedy

Winter is upon us, staying indoors without much fresh air, sitting next to Mr. sneezy on the bus, getting stuck in the rain and walking home with wet socks. Those are challenges for our immune system. Here is a powerful remedy that uses strong culinary herbs that are powerful immune boosters.



- Garlic: For many herbalists, this is the herb to take if you are stuck in the desert with no plants. It has powerful antiviral, antimicrobial, antiseptic and anti-fungal properties. This means that it fights any invader that might be a threat to your health. Since garlic also effectively treats and prevents respiratory issues such as asthma and bronchitis, it is great for staying healthy during cold, flu and cough season.

- Ginger: The second Medicinal to choose when you have no others.... Ginger is warming and decongesting. Has powerful antiseptic properties, speeds up circulation and is a popular medicinal for cold, flu, congestion and sore throats.

-Onion: Onions are anti-inflammatory as well as antimicrobial. They can also help purify the air of pathogens. Slice an onion in half and leave it on a plate on the floor or dresser near where you or your child sleeps. In the morning discard the backend onion.

-Hot pepper: This fiery plant obviously has powerful warming qualities and is a powerful anti congestive.

-Cinnamon: Warming and stimulating properties in cinnamon are a strong boost of vitality, assist to clear congestion and improve circulation. Cinnamon too boasted antiviral, antiseptic and anti-fungal properties, making it a great medicinal for viral infection as well as cold, flu and cough.

Fire cider recipe:

- 1/4 onion chopped - 3 cloves of garlic sliced - 1 inch ginger peels and sliced - 1 inch piece of hot pepper chopped - 3 cinnamon sticks broken

Place all the ingredients in a wide-mouth jar. Cover with high-quality vinegar. Allow infusing for two weeks on a sunny windowsill. Stain and label.

Use: Take one tbs a day for prevention And up to six tbs (spread out) for treatment.
