Vinegar is a great solvent for infusing herbal plants. In this vinegar, we will infuse lemony and aromatic herbs to confuse the mosquitos and trick them into thinking we’re not there.
Mosquitos identify us by the Carbon dioxide we exhale. So hiding our scent with this acidic aromatic smell makes it harder for them to find us.
Things You Need:
Lemon balm
Lemongrass
Lemon geranium
Lavender
Rosemary
Another great benefit of using vinegar as a solvent is that we can use fresh herbs as vinegar is water-based. So if you have access to any of these Fresh that would be great.
Herbal vinegar mosquito repellent:
In a clean jar add all or as many as possible of the herbs above, dry or fresh.
Cover with vinegar of choice, apple cider vinegar is a natural choice.
Allow infusing for two weeks in a closet.
Strain into a spray bottle.
